You Gotto Take Care !

I had commenced my wonderful plans of "Going Green" with this post of mine three months back. What I didn't factor in then, was how much of commitment, time, energy and resources this endeavor of mine was likely to require. So three months later when I take stock of how well my plants have grown, how many flowers are in bloom in the height of spring, I am ashamed to say that its a rather dismal show. As a result of sheer negligence when I returned home post my month and a half in India, I was shocked to see that my plants had withered. In hindsight I don't quite know what else would happen, given that I didn't really put into place any "care plan" for them. So now its firefighting or rather life saving time, as I surf the internet trying to find effective ways to revive my almost dead Kalenchoe plants.

And while I breathe a sigh of relief having found some useful suggestions which are yielding satisfactory results, this exercise taught me a lesson or two.

Drawing a parallel to our lives it made me realise that - when it is life / health at stake neglect can perhaps be nearly fatal. And even when its not fatal the damage can have severely impairing consequences. Hence it would be in our best interest to make a conscious effort to put a nurturing / care plan in place. In the end the mind & body are both machines and if neglected will rust or break down sooner than the validity period stamped upon them.

In short - "You Gotto Take Care"
