Bidding adieu to 2011,
On a cold star lit night,
From my home away from home........
Listening to the crackers in the distance,
Finding them instantly light up a warmth inside.
A smile on my face,
Dear ones for company,
A glass of bubbly in my hand,
I bask for a moment in the warm memories of the days & months gone by.
I feel a definite & deep sense of gratitude,
Infinite and in-explainable happiness,
Even a bit of certainty about where I am and where I am going,
And more importantly loads of hope for a lovelier tomorrow.
I see growing responsibility,
More things for me to organise, plan, and worry about,
And a renewed enthusiasm and determination to control the controllable.
They say 'old habits die hard' ; that's so true !
I greet 2012 warmly,
Waiting to see what it brings on for me personally & professionally.
Knowing deep down within,
That the best has yet to come .......
